Hello, little friends! It is time for a new letter. Today our letter is the letter m.

Say it with me. m. Marvellous!

The letter m makes a humming sound. Press your lips together and say m, m, m. It sounds like mmm, when something is yummy! Can you say it? Mmm. Well done!

Now let us look at a big green tree. It is full of yellow and orange fruit.

Look! Who is sitting on the branch? It has brown fur, a long tail and a happy face. It is a monkey! Say it with me. Monkey. m, m, monkey! Can you scratch like a monkey?

And what is the yummy fruit growing on the tree? It is a mango. Say it with me. Mango. m, m, mango! Mmm, yummy!

Listen to what the picture tells us. The monkey is sitting on the mango tree.

Let us say it together. Monkey is sitting on the mango tree. Great job!

Now let us meet some more friends that start with the letter m.

Here is something that shines in the sky at night. It is the moon. Say it with me. Moon. m, m, moon!

Here is something with two wheels that goes very fast. Brmm, brmm! It is a motorcycle. Say it with me. Motorcycle. m, m, motorcycle!

And here is a cup with a handle. We drink from it. It is a mug. Say it with me. Mug. m, m, mug!

Let us say all our m words together. Monkey. Mango. Moon. Motorcycle. Mug. You are fantastic!

Here are some more m words. Milk makes our bones strong. Mountains are very, very tall. And a mat is soft to sit on. Milk, mountains, mat. They all start with m!

Now it is time to write the letter m. Hold up your magic finger. Are you ready?

Put your finger in the middle, just a little way up. Now go straight down to the bottom. Stop!

Now go back up the same line. Make a little hill, over and down. That is one hump!

Now go up again and make another little hill, over and down. That is two humps! Stop!

That is the letter m. Down, and then two little hills, like a monkey jumping over them.

Let us do it again. Start in the middle. Down. Back up. Hump. Hump. Well done!

One more time, nice and slow. Down. Up. Hump. Hump. You made the letter m!

When you open your book, trace the letter m from the red dot. Go down first, then make your two humps.

Let us remember what we learned today. Our letter is m. The letter m says m, m, m.

We saw a monkey sitting on the mango tree.

We met the moon, a motorcycle and a mug.

And we wrote the letter m. Down, and two little humps.
