Hello, little friends! Are you ready for a new letter? Today our letter is the letter l.

Say it with me. l. Lovely!

The letter l makes a long, singing sound. Put your tongue up behind your teeth and say l, l, l. Can you say it? l, l, l. Very good!

Now let us go on a trip to the zoo. A zoo is a place where we can see lots of animals.

Look! There is a boy with a green jacket and a little bag. He is waving his hands. He is very happy.

And what is that big animal resting on the rock? It has a big fluffy mane. It is a lion! Say it with me. Lion. l, l, lion! Can you do a soft roar? Roar!

Listen to what the picture tells us. The boy is looking at the lion in the zoo.

Let us say it together. The boy is looking at the lion in the zoo. Well done!

Now let us meet some more friends that start with the letter l.

Here is a little red bug with black spots. It is a ladybug. Say it with me. Ladybug. l, l, ladybug!

Here is something that gives us light in a room. It is a lamp. Say it with me. Lamp. l, l, lamp!

And here is some blue water with green trees all around. It is a lake. Say it with me. Lake. l, l, lake!

Let us say all our l words together. Lion. Ladybug. Lamp. Lake. You are so smart!

Here are some more l words. A yellow lemon. A bright light. A sweet lollipop. They all start with l too!

Now it is time to write the letter l. Hold up your magic finger. Are you ready?

The letter l is tall and straight. Put your finger right at the top.

Now make one long line straight down, down, down, all the way to the bottom. Stop!

That is the letter l. Just one long line from the top to the bottom.

Let us do it again. Start at the top. Long line down. Stop! Well done!

One more time, standing tall. Top. Down, down, down. Stop! You made the letter l!

Remember, the letter l is tall and has no dot. The letter i is short and has a dot on top.

When you open your book, trace the letter l from the red dot at the top. Go straight down, nice and slow.

Let us remember what we learned today. Our letter is l. The letter l says l, l, l.

We went to the zoo. The boy is looking at the lion in the zoo.

We met a ladybug, a lamp and a lake.

And we wrote the letter l with one long line from the top to the bottom.
