Revision Activity 1: Insect Wiggle Song

Time: 5 minutes

• Learners stand up and wiggle one finger like a little insect
• Sing to any simple tune: "i, i, insect! /i/, /i/, igloo!"
• Stop and freeze. The teacher holds up the letter "i" card and everyone shouts "i!"
• Repeat three times, getting faster

Revision Activity 2: Picture Card Hunt

Time: 8 minutes

• Hide the five picture cards around the room: igloo, insect, ice-cream, iguana, iron
• Call out one word. Learners walk (not run) to find it
• The finder holds it up and everyone says the word together
• Ask: "Does it start with i?" Learners nod and say "Yes!"

Revision Activity 3: Say the Picture

Time: 5 minutes

• Open textbook page 26
• Point to the insect and the igloo. Learners say the words
• Say the speech bubble together in two chunks:
  • "A cute insect is standing"
  • "by an igloo in the snow."
• Ask: "Where is the insect?" (by the igloo) "Is it hot or cold?" (cold)

Revision Activity 4: Magic Air Tracing

Time: 7 minutes

• Everyone draws a giant "i" in the air with a "magic finger"
• Say the steps together: "Start in the middle. Straight down. Lift. Dot!"
• Draw "i" on a partner's back very gently; the partner guesses the letter
• Trace one row of "i" on a dotted practice sheet with a pencil

Revision Activity 5: Melting Ice Watch

Time: 5 minutes

• Repeat the Little Explorers activity: drop ice cubes into a bowl of water
• While the ice shrinks, learners take turns saying one "i" word they remember
• Every learner who says a word gets a clap
