Hello, little friends! Are you ready to learn a new letter today? Our new letter is f.

Look at this letter. It is tall, with a curve at the top and a little line across. This is the letter f.

The letter f makes a sound. It says /f/. Put your top teeth on your bottom lip and blow gently. /f/. Can you do it? /f/. Again! /f/.

It sounds like a soft wind. /f/, /f/, /f/.

Let us go to a pretty pond. There is blue water, green lily pads and pink flowers.

Who is jumping out of the water? It is a fish! Fish. Say it with me. Fish. F-f-f-fish.

The fish is orange and white. It is splashing in the pond. Splash, splash!

Now look at the lily pad. Who is sitting there? It is a frog! Frog. Say it with me. Frog. F-f-f-frog.

The frog is green and happy. It is holding a pretty flower.

Listen to what they say. "A friendly frog and a little fish are playing in the pond together."

Let us say it in little parts. "A friendly frog." "And a little fish." "Are playing in the pond together." Well done!

Can you hop like a friendly frog? Hop, hop, hop!

Now let us look at some pictures. Here is the first one. They are pink and smiling. They are flowers. Flowers. F-f-f-flowers.

Here is the next picture. It is orange and fluffy, with a big tail. It is a fox. Fox. F-f-f-fox.

And here is the last picture. There is a pineapple, bananas and grapes. They are fruits. Fruits. F-f-f-fruits.

Let us say all the words together. Fish. Frog. Flowers. Fox. Fruits. Great job!

Now it is time to trace the letter f. Get your finger ready. Hold it up in the air.

Start near the top. Curve over, like a little hook. Now go straight down, down, down. Stop.

Now lift your finger. Make a little line across the middle. That is the letter f!

Let us do it again. Curve over. Go straight down. Lift. Little line across. Wonderful!

You can trace f on your book too. Start at the red dot. Follow the dots slowly. Over, down, and across.

Now hold up your hand. Let us count your fingers. One, two, three, four, five. Five fingers! Fingers starts with /f/ too.

Let us remember what we learned today. This is the letter f. It says /f/.

We saw a fish and a frog in the pond. We saw flowers, a fox and fruits.

The frog and the fish said, "A friendly frog and a little fish are playing in the pond together."

And we traced the letter f. Over, down, and a little line across.
