Hello, little friends! Are you ready to learn a new letter today? Our new letter is g.

Look at this letter. It has a round part at the top and a tail with a hook at the bottom. This is the letter g.

The letter g makes a sound. It says /g/. It is a short, quick sound. Can you say it with me? /g/. Again! /g/. One more time! /g/.

Let us go to a big green field. The grass is soft and there are yellow flowers everywhere.

Who is sitting on the picnic blanket? It is a girl! Girl. Say it with me. Girl. G-g-g-girl.

The girl has long braided hair and a soft scarf. She is sitting next to a basket.

What is she holding? It is a guava! Guava. Say it with me. Guava. G-g-g-guava.

The guava is green on the outside and pink on the inside. There are more guavas in the basket.

Listen to what she says. "The girl is eating delicious guava."

Can you say it with me? "The girl is eating delicious guava." Well done!

Let us pretend to take a big bite. Yum, yum! Delicious!

Now let us look at some pictures. Here is the first one. It is big and made of metal. We open it to go inside. It is a gate. Gate. G-g-g-gate.

Here is the next picture. It is a box with a big red bow. It is a gift. Gift. G-g-g-gift.

And here is the last picture. It makes lovely music. It is a guitar. Guitar. G-g-g-guitar.

Let us pretend to play the guitar. Strum, strum, strum!

Let us say all the words together. Girl. Guava. Gate. Gift. Guitar. Great job!

Now it is time to trace the letter g. Get your finger ready. Hold it up in the air.

Start at the top. Go round, round, like a little ball. Now go back up to the top.

Then go straight down, down, down. And curl a little hook at the bottom. That is the letter g!

Let us do it again. Round like a ball. Back up. Straight down. Curl a hook. Wonderful!

You can trace g on your book too. Start at the red dot. Follow the dots slowly. Round, up, down, and hook.

You are doing so well. Now you can colour the gift picture too. Choose a pretty colour for the bow.

Let us remember what we learned today. This is the letter g. It says /g/.

We saw a girl eating a guava. We saw a gate, a gift and a guitar.
