Hello, little friends! Are you ready to learn a new letter today? Our new letter is e.

Look at this letter. It is round, with a little line across the middle. This is the letter e.

The letter e makes a sound. It says /e/. Can you say it with me? /e/. Again! /e/. One more time, nice and loud! /e/.

Let us go to a big, sunny field. The grass is green and there are pretty flowers everywhere.

Who is walking in the grass? It is a big grey elephant! Elephant. Say it with me. Elephant. E-e-e-elephant.

The elephant has big floppy ears and a long trunk. Can you swing your arm like an elephant's trunk? Swing, swing, swing!

Now look up. Who is sitting on the elephant's head? It is an eagle! Eagle. Say it with me. Eagle.

The eagle has brown wings and a white head. It has a yellow beak. The eagle can fly high in the sky.

The eagle and the elephant are together. They are happy. Listen to what they say. "Eagle and elephant are good friends."

Can you say it with me? "Eagle and elephant are good friends." Well done!

Do you have a good friend? Give your friend a big smile!

Now let us look at some pictures. Here is the first one. It is purple and shiny. It is an eggplant. Eggplant. E-e-e-eggplant.

Here is the next picture. It is a little elephant with pink ears. Elephant.

And here is the last picture. It is a big bird. It is an eagle. Eagle.

Let us say all three words together. Eggplant. Elephant. Eagle. Great job!

Now it is time to trace the letter e. Get your finger ready. Hold it up in the air.

Start in the middle. Go straight across, like a little road. Now curve up and over the top, go round and down, round the bottom, and stop.

That is the letter e! Let us do it again. Start in the middle. Go across. Curve up and over, round and down, and stop.

You can trace e on your book too. Start at the red dot. Follow the dots slowly, slowly. Across, then round. Wonderful!

Let us do one more e in the air. Across, round, and stop. Say /e/ as you finish. /e/!

You are doing so well. Now you can colour a picture too. You can colour the eagle, with brown wings and a yellow beak.

Let us remember what we learned today. This is the letter e. It says /e/.

We saw an elephant and an eagle. We saw an eggplant too. Eggplant, elephant, eagle.

The eagle and the elephant said, "Eagle and elephant are good friends."

And we traced the letter e. Across, then round, and stop.
