Revision Objectives

• Recognise the letter "c" and say its sound /k/
• Recall the words cap, car, cake and cow
• Repeat the sentence "Ali is wearing a cap in the car."
• Trace the letter "c" with the correct stroke

Revision Activity 1: Pass the Cap and Car

Time: 5 minutes

• Sit in a circle with a real cap and a toy car
• Pass them round; each learner names the object they hold
• The learner holding the cap puts it on and everyone says /k/, /k/, cap

Revision Activity 2: Point and Say

Time: 5 minutes

• Open page 8 or hold up picture cards
• Say a word and learners point to it: cap, car, cake, cow
• Then swap: you point, learners say the word
• Add the actions: moo for cow, blow candles for cake, drive for car

Revision Activity 3: Ali in the Car

Time: 5 minutes

• One learner wears the cap and "drives" a pretend car
• The class says "Ali is wearing a cap in the car."
• Swap drivers and say it again, waving like Ali

Revision Activity 4: Block Cars

Time: 5 minutes

• Give out building blocks
• Learners build a car with four round wheels that turn
• Count the wheels: one, two, three, four
• Ask: "What sound does car start with?" Learners say /k/

Revision Activity 5: Air, Finger and Pencil Tracing

Time: 8 minutes

• Draw a big "c" in the air: start at the top, curve round to the left, stop at the bottom
• Learners trace "c" with a finger on the big pink "c" on page 9
• Trace one dotted row of "c" on a fresh sheet with a pencil
• Check that every "c" stays open

Revision Activity 6: Count the Caps

Time: 3 minutes

• Line three caps up on the table
• Count together: one cap, two caps, three caps
• Hide one cap and ask: "How many caps now?"
