Revision Objectives

  • Reinforce knowledge of different professions
  • Strengthen consonant blend recognition
  • Practise masculine and feminine noun pairs
  • Review vocabulary and creative writing skills

Revision Activity 1: Profession Guessing Game

Time: 10 minutes

  • Teacher describes a profession; students guess:
    • "I grow crops and provide food." (Farmer)
    • "I work in a hospital and give medicine." (Doctor)
    • "I teach students with love and care." (Teacher)
    • "I make and repair shoes." (Cobbler)
    • "I make beautiful dresses." (Dress designer)
  • Then reverse: students describe, class guesses

Revision Activity 2: Consonant Blend Hunt

Time: 8 minutes

  • Write words on the board; students circle the consonant blend:
    • flag (/fl/), star (/st/), skip (/sk/), frog (/fr/), tree (/tr/)
    • stop (/st/), play (/pl/), drum (/dr/), swim (/sw/), glad (/gl/)
  • Students come to the board and draw a circle around each blend

Revision Activity 3: Masculine and Feminine Matching

Time: 7 minutes

  • Write masculine nouns on one side and feminine nouns on the other; students draw lines to match:
    • boy --- girl
    • father --- mother
    • brother --- sister
    • king --- queen
    • uncle --- aunt
    • man --- woman
  • Students say each pair aloud

Revision Activity 4: Vocabulary Review

Time: 5 minutes

  • Match words with meanings:
    • repair = mend
    • treat = to deal
    • provide = to supply
  • Students use each word in a sentence

Revision Activity 5: Morning Routine Chain

Time: 5 minutes

  • Students take turns saying one thing they do in the morning:
    • "I get up early."
    • "I brush my teeth."
    • "I wash my face."
    • "I take a bath."
    • "I eat breakfast."
    • "I go to school."
  • Each student must say something different

  • All professions are important; we need each other
