Revision Objectives
- Reinforce the story of the shepherd boy and its moral about honesty
- Strengthen sight word recognition
- Practise using question words correctly
- Review objects in the classroom and at home
- Consolidate greeting card writing skills
Revision Activity 1: Story Sequencing
Time: 10 minutes
- Write these events on cards/board in mixed order. Students put them in the correct sequence:
- A shepherd boy took his sheep to the hill every day.
- He was bored and cried "Wolf! Wolf!" to fool the villagers.
- The villagers came running but found no wolf.
- He cried "Wolf!" again and the villagers came again.
- The villagers were angry and said they would not come again.
- A real wolf came and took some sheep.
- No one came to help because they did not believe him.
- The boy promised never to lie again.
Revision Activity 2: Sight Word Speed Round
Time: 8 minutes
- Flash sight word cards one at a time: a, an, the, is, am, are, he, she, it, has, have, shall, will, to, for, in
- Students read each word as fast as they can
- Time each student and see who can read all 16 the fastest
- Then students write 10 sight words from memory
Revision Activity 3: Question Word Drill
Time: 7 minutes
- Teacher gives an answer; students form the question:
- Answer: "My name is Ali." Question: "What is your name?"
- Answer: "I live in Lahore." Question: "Where do you live?"
- Answer: "I will go to school at 8 o'clock." Question: "When will you go to school?"
- Answer: "I am crying because I am hurt." Question: "Why are you crying?"
- Answer: "She is my teacher." Question: "Who is she?"
Revision Activity 4: Classroom vs. Home Objects
Time: 5 minutes
- Teacher says an object; students say "classroom" or "home":
- chair (classroom), television (home), blackboard (classroom), iron (home)
- fan (both), table (both), chalk (classroom), stove (home)
- bed (home), sharpener (classroom)
Revision Activity 5: Greeting Card Gallery
Time: 5 minutes
- Students display their greeting cards on their desks
- Walk around and read each other's cards
- Teacher checks: Does each card have an addressee, a message, and a sender name?
Revision Activity 6: Moral Discussion
Time: 5 minutes
- Discuss: "Why is it important to always tell the truth?"
- Ask students to share examples of when being honest is important
- Reinforce: "No one believes a liar, even when he speaks the truth."
