Assessment Objectives
By the end of this unit, students should be able to:
- Answer comprehension questions about the family chores passage
- Identify words with the same beginning sound
- Identify words with the same ending sound
- Use possessive pronouns correctly
- Arrange words in alphabetical order
- Complete sentences using a word bank
Formative Assessment
1. Comprehension (During Day 1-2)
- Task: Students answer 5 questions about the passage
- Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support
2. Same Sounds (During Day 2)
- Task: Group words by beginning sound; group words by ending sound
- Criteria: Correctly groups at least 4 out of 5
- Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
3. Possessive Pronouns (During Day 2)
- Task: Fill in 5 blanks with the correct possessive pronoun
- Criteria: At least 4 out of 5 correct
- Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
4. Alphabetical Order (During Day 3)
- Task: Arrange 5 words in alphabetical order
- Criteria: All in correct order
- Rating: Correct / Mostly correct / Needs practice

Part A: Comprehension (5 marks)
- What is the girl's name in the story? (1 mark)
- Who sweeps the kitchen? (1 mark)
- Who vacuums the rugs? (1 mark)

- What do they do after finishing chores? (1 mark)
Part B: Same Sounds (5 marks)
- Write 3 words that begin with the /b/ sound. (1.5 marks)
- Write 3 words that end with the /t/ sound. (1.5 marks)
- Write the beginning sound of "lion." (1 mark)
- Write the ending sound of "cat." (1 mark)
Part C: Possessive Pronouns (5 marks) Fill in the correct possessive pronoun:
