Three Little Cubs

Assessment Objectives
By the end of this unit, students should be able to:
- Recall the story of the three little cubs and answer comprehension questions
- Sound out individual letters in CVC words and blend them
- Distinguish between singular and plural nouns
- Write number words from 1 to 10
- Use polite expressions for sharing
Formative Assessment
1. Story Recall (During Day 1)
- Task: Students answer:
- Name the three cubs.
- What was each house made of?
- What did the wolf say?
- Which house was the strongest?
- Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support
2. Sound Blending (During Day 2)
- Task: Teacher shows 6 CVC words letter by letter; students blend and say the word
- Words: pot, bun, cow, pen, jam, bag
- Criteria: Correctly blends at least 4 out of 6
- Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
3. Singular and Plural (During Day 2)
- Task: Students write the plural of 6 words: apple, bird, plant, quail, star, zebra
- Criteria: Correctly writes at least 5 out of 6
- Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
4. Number Words (During Day 3)
- Task: Students write number words from 1 to 10
- Criteria: All 10 correct with correct spelling
- Rating: All correct / 7-9 correct / Below 7

- How many cubs were there? (1 mark)
- What was Sonu's house made of? (1 mark)

Part B: Sounds and Blending (5 marks)
- Read each letter and write the word:
- p-o-t = ___ (1 mark)

- p-e-n = ___ (1 mark)
- b-a-g = ___ (1 mark)
Part C: Singular and Plural (5 marks)
- Write the plural:
