Warm-Up (10 minutes)
- Show pictures of different types of houses
- Ask: "Have you ever seen a cub? Where can you find cubs?"
- Discuss what makes a strong house vs. a weak house
Main Activity (20 minutes)
- Read the story aloud:
- Three little cubs: Sonu, Monu, and Gonu
- Sonu lived in a house of straw, Monu in a house of sticks, Gonu in a house of bricks
- A big bad wolf came to Sonu's house: "I will huff and puff and I will blow your house down." He blew it down.
- Sonu ran to Monu's house. The wolf came and blew Monu's house down too.
- Sonu and Monu ran to Gonu's house. The wolf came but could not blow the brick house down. It was very strong.
- The wolf went away. Sonu, Monu, and Gonu lived happily together in the red brick house.
- Ask while-reading question: "Do you share your things with others in times of need?"
- Ask post-reading questions: "Do you like the story?" and "Name the largest forest of the world."
Wrap-Up (10 minutes)
