Revision Objectives

By the end of revision, students should be confident in:

  • Describing the four seasons in Pakistan and their characteristics
  • Using vocabulary words (fireplace, sweltering, delight)
  • Writing contractions with "do" and "have"
  • Choosing the correct article (a, an, the)
  • Identifying action verbs and using be, do, have as main verbs

Revision Activity 1: Seasons Chart (10 minutes)

Type: Written

Complete the chart:

Revision Activity 2: Article Practice (10 minutes)

Type: Written

Choose the correct article:

  1. (A / An) elephant is a big animal.
  2. He is (a / an) kind man.
  3. I read (a / the) Quran every day.
  4. (A / An) eagle is a bird.
  5. She bought (a / an) umbrella.

Rules reminder:

  • "a" before consonant sounds
  • "an" before vowel sounds
  • "the" before rivers, newspapers, holy books

Revision Activity 3: Verb Identification Race (10 minutes)

Type: Team activity

  1. Teacher reads sentences from the unit.
  2. Teams identify the action verb.
  3. Then classify whether be, do, or have is used as a main verb in given sentences.

Revision Activity 4: Contraction Pairs (10 minutes)

Type: Written

Write contractions:

  1. I have → I've
  2. We have → We've
  3. does not → doesn't
  4. who did → who'd
  5. how did → how'd
  6. The children are → The children're

Write the full forms: 7. I've → ___ 8. doesn't → ___
