Revision Objectives
By the end of revision, students should be confident in:
- Recalling the five food groups and why healthy eating matters
- Using unit vocabulary in sentences
- Arranging words in alphabetical order
- Identifying silent letters in common English words
- Sorting -ed words by their pronunciation (/t/, /d/, /id/)
Revision Activity 1: Food Groups Recall (10 minutes)
Type: Oral and written
- Draw a large plate on the board divided into five sections.
- Ask students to name the five food groups and give two examples for each.
- Students copy the plate into their notebooks and fill it in:

| Dairy Foods | milk, cheese |
| Protein | eggs, chicken |
| Water/Healthy Drinks | water, milk |
- Discuss: Which foods should we eat every day? Which should we avoid?
Revision Activity 2: Vocabulary Bingo (10 minutes)
Type: Game-based
- Give each student a 3x2 grid.
- Students write any 6 of these words in the grid: favourite, participate, nutrients, snacks, include, junk food, energy, balanced, healthy, avoid.
- Teacher reads out definitions one by one.
- Students cross out the matching word.
- First student to cross all 6 words calls "Bingo!" and reads the words aloud.
Revision Activity 3: Alphabetical Order Race (10 minutes)
Type: Pair activity
- Write these word sets on the board:
- Set 1: milk, apple, bread, cheese
- Set 2: protein, grain, dairy, fruit
- Set 3: beans, barley, bread, butter
- Pairs race to arrange each set in alphabetical order.
- Review together. Remind students: when first letters are the same, look at the second letter.
Revision Activity 4: Silent Letter Hunt (10 minutes)
Type: Written
- Write these words on the board: castle, comb, honest, knock, knife, know, knee, lamb, listen, debt, wrist, watch, write.
- Students copy each word and underline the silent letter.
- Challenge: Students write each word in a sentence.
- Quick quiz: Teacher says a word, students write it and circle the silent letter.

Revision Activity 5: The -ed Sound Sort (10 minutes)
Type: Group activity
- Prepare 12 word cards: dressed, talked, started, ordered, spilled, loved, sanded, asked, jumped, clapped, laughed, cried.
- Draw three columns on the board: /t/, /d/, /id/.
- Groups take turns picking a card, saying the word aloud, and placing it in the correct column.

Revision Activity 6: Comprehension Review (10 minutes)

Students answer these questions in complete sentences:
- What are nutrients?
- Name two grain foods.
- Why is water the best drink for children?
- What happens if we eat too much junk food?
- Write two things you can do to stay healthy.
Revision Activity 7: Picture Description (10 minutes)
Type: Oral communication
- Show the textbook illustrations from the unit (children playing, family eating).
- Each student describes what they see using at least 3 sentences.
- Encourage use of unit vocabulary (healthy, nutrients, participate, energy).
