Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Assessment Objectives

By the end of this unit, students should be able to:

  1. Recall key facts about the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)
  2. Answer comprehension questions about the passage
  3. Identify and name at least 6 animals from the vocabulary list
  4. Write capital and small letters of the English alphabet
  5. Fill in missing letters in alphabetical order
  6. Use a polite dialogue to borrow something

Formative Assessment

1. Oral Comprehension (During Day 1-2)

  • Task: Students answer orally:
    1. Where was the Holy Prophet (PBUH) born?
    2. What were the names of His father and mother?
    3. Why was He called "Sadiq" and "Ameen"?
    4. Where did He receive the first revelation?
    5. Where is His holy shrine?
  • Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

2. Animal Vocabulary Check (During Day 2)

  • Task: Show 8 animal pictures; students name each one
  • Animals: fox, lion, elephant, camel, rhino, peacock, goat, tiger
  • Criteria: Correctly names at least 6 out of 8
  • Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

3. Alphabet Writing (During Day 3)

  • Task: Students write all 26 letters (capital and small) from Aa to Zz
  • Criteria:
    • Correct letter formation
    • Correct order
    • Distinction between capital and small letters
  • Rating: Complete and neat / Mostly correct / Needs improvement

4. Missing Letters (During Day 3)

  • Task: Fill in the missing letters:
    • Before: ___ Cc, ___ Hh
    • Between: Dd ___ Ff, Jj ___ Ll
    • After: Aa ___, Mm ___
  • Criteria: All blanks filled correctly
  • Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs practice

Part B: Animal Vocabulary (5 marks)

  • Look at the pictures and write the correct animal name (5 animals, 1 mark each)

Part C: Alphabet (5 marks)

  1. Write the letters from Aa to Ff in order. (2 marks)
  2. Write the missing letter: ___ Cc (1 mark)
  3. Write the missing letter: Dd ___ Ff (1 mark)
  4. Write the missing letter: Mm ___ (1 mark)

Part D: Oral Communication (5 marks)

  • Role-play the borrowing dialogue with a partner
    • Correct greeting (1 mark)
    • Polite request (2 marks)
    • Appropriate response (1 mark)
    • Thank you and reply (1 mark)

Total: 20 marks


Remediation Plan

  • Students who score below 10/20 should:
    • Review the passage with teacher support and answer questions again
    • Use animal flashcards for daily practice
    • Practise writing the alphabet with dotted worksheets
    • Rehearse the dialogue with a partner daily
