Subject: English | Class: 1 | Series: Leeds (SNC 2020)
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. We are going to learn about our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah in the year 571 AD. His father's name was Hazrat Abdullah. His mother's name was Hazrat Amina. His grandfather's name was Hazrat Abdul Mutlib.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was known as "Sadiq" and "Ameen." Sadiq means Truthful. Ameen means Trustee. Even His enemies said He was always honest and never told a lie.
One day, He called the people of Quraish near Mount Safa. He asked them, "If I say that horsemen are advancing to attack you from the other side of this hill, will you believe me?" They all replied, "Yes, we have always found you honest because you never tell a lie in your whole life."
At the age of 40, in the Cave of Hira, He received the first revelation from Allah through the angel Hazrat Jibraeel (AS). The first words were: "Read, in the name of the Lord who created."
The Holy Quran was revealed to Him. He told us that Allah is One and we should only worship Him. He passed away at the age of 63. His holy shrine is located in Madina.
Now let us learn some animal names. Animals are very important in our lives. Here are some animals: fox, lion, elephant, camel, rhino, peacock, goat, and tiger. Can you say them with me? Fox. Lion. Elephant. Camel. Rhino. Peacock. Goat. Tiger.
Let us also practise the English alphabet. The alphabet has 26 letters. They go from A to Z. Each letter has a capital form and a small form. A-a, B-b, C-c, all the way to Z-z. It is important to know which letter comes before, between, and after another letter.
Let us review what we learned today. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was born in Makkah. His father was Hazrat Abdullah and His mother was Hazrat Amina. He was known as Sadiq and Ameen because He was truthful and trustworthy. He received the first revelation in the Cave of Hira. His shrine is in Madina. We also learned the names of eight animals and practised the English alphabet.
Well done, everyone! See you next time!
