Hello, little friends! Welcome back. Today we are going on a drive to meet a new letter. Are you ready? Let's go!

This is the letter v. Can you say v? Very good!

The letter v makes a buzzing sound. Vvvv. Vvvv. Put your top teeth gently on your bottom lip and buzz. Vvvv! Can you feel it tickle?

Let's make a long buzz. Vvvvvvv. Now a short one. Vv. Now a tiny whisper. Vvvv. Well done!

Look at this beautiful place. There are green hills, a little river and lots of flowers. This low land between the hills is called a valley.

Valley. Vvv, valley. Valley begins with v. Can you say valley? Great job!

And look what is driving along the path. It is a van! Van. Vvv, van. Van begins with v too.

The van has bags on the roof. It is going on a trip. Hold your steering wheel and drive with me. Vvvv!

Listen carefully. The blue van is in the beautiful valley.

Let's say it together. The blue van. Is in. The beautiful valley. Wonderful!

Where is the van? Yes, the van is in the valley! Is the valley beautiful? Yes, it is very beautiful!

Now let's find more words that begin with v.

Here is a machine that cleans the floor. It is a vacuum. Vacuum. Vvv, vacuum. Push the vacuum and buzz. Vvvv!

Here is a musical instrument. It is a violin. Violin. Vvv, violin. Can you pretend to play the violin under your chin?

And here is a pretty pot with flowers in it. It is a vase. Vase. Vvv, vase. Hold the vase very carefully!

Let's say all our v words. Van. Valley. Vacuum. Violin. Vase. Fantastic!

Now it is time to trace the letter v. Hold up your pointing finger. Ready?

Put your finger at the top on the left. Slide down to the bottom, like going down into a valley. Now slide back up to the top on the right. That is v!

When you trace v in your book, start at the little red dot. Hold your pencil gently and slide down and up.
