Hello, little friends! Welcome back. Today we are going on a walk in the forest to meet a new letter. Are you ready? Let's go!

This is the letter t. Can you say t? Very good!

The letter t makes a quick tapping sound. T. T. T. Tap your finger and say it with me. T, t, t!

Let's tap fast. T, t, t, t. Now tap slowly. T. T. T. Now tap very softly. T, t, t. Well done!

Look at this lovely forest. There are ferns and mushrooms and a very big tree.

Tree. T, t, tree. Tree begins with t. Can you say tree? Great job!

Can you stand tall like a tree? Stretch your arms out wide like branches. Sway in the wind!

Now look who is sitting under the tree. It is a tortoise! Tortoise. T, t, tortoise. Tortoise begins with t too.

The tortoise has a big hard shell on its back. It walks very, very slowly. Can you walk slowly like a tortoise?

Listen carefully. Look at the happy tortoise under the green tree.

Let's say it together. Look at. The happy tortoise. Under the green tree. Wonderful!

Where is the tortoise? Yes, the tortoise is under the tree! And what colour is the tree? Green!

Now let's find more words that begin with t.

Here is a little house made of cloth that we sleep in when we go camping. It is a tent. Tent. T, t, tent. Can you make a tent shape with your hands?

Here is something that runs on a track and goes choo choo. It is a train. Train. T, t, train. Move your arms like the wheels. Choo choo!

And here is our big green tree again. Tree. T, t, tree.

Let's say all our t words. Tree. Tortoise. Tent. Train. Fantastic!

Now it is time to trace the letter t. Hold up your pointing finger. Ready?

Put your finger at the top. Go straight down, and make a little curve at the bottom. Now lift your finger. Make a short line across, like a branch on a tree. That is t!

Let's do it again in the air. Start at the top. Down, with a little curve. Then across. T!

One more time, nice and slow. Down. Across. T, t, t! You made the letter t!

When you trace t in your book, start at the little red dot. Always go down first, then make the line across.

You can colour the big t too. Colour it nicely and stay inside the lines.
