Theme: Responsibility means feeling an obligation to do something seriously. Responsible children are self-motivated, self-directed, and well-disciplined.
Five Problem-Solving Steps:

- Decide on a solution
- Develop a plan to make the solution work
Responsible Behaviour: Prepare the night before — get homework signed, pack the backpack, make lunch, lay out clothes.
Activity: Write the five problem-solving steps on the board with blanks. Students fill in the missing words.
Vocabulary Review (5 minutes)
Flash Card Game:
- Show word on one side, meaning on the other.
- Words: obligation, crises, nagged, comprehend, pros and cons.
- Students take turns defining the word before flipping the card.

- Digraph = two letters making one sound (ch, sh, wh, ph)

Quick Sort Activity: Write these words on slips of paper. Students sort them into two columns on the board.

Syllable Counting Revision (5 minutes)
Clap and Count:

Rule: Every syllable has one vowel sound. Count the vowel sounds to find the number of syllables.
